To Make Delightfully Sweet Popcorn, Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Is The Way!

The Good: Relatively inexpensive, Not terribly unhealthy, Yummy and enjoyable!
The Bad: Not terribly nutritious, Flavor gets overwhelmed by popcorn!
The Basics: Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is good, but not incredible!

When it comes to popcorn, nine out of ten times, I like it salty. So, no one was more surprised than I was when I discovered just how much I could enjoy sweetened popcorn . . . at least popcorn when it is sweetened with Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning. Of all the popcorn seasonings my wife picked up for me, this one was probably the most positive pleasant surprise.

Basics

Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is a white powder that one sprinkles on their hot popcorn. We picked it up in the 3 oz. plastic container for only $2.49. After removing the safety seal below the flip-top cap, one has easy access to the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning. The seasoning is basically a spice that adheres to the hot popcorn or liquefied margarine on popcorn.

Ease Of Preparation

Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is exceptionally easy to use. After the popcorn is popped, add oil or spray margarine to the popcorn. Then, flip the lid to the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning and sprinkle it on your popcorn. The container to the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning has holes, much like any other major spice container. When one is done applying the seasoning, simple press closed the spice container.

Taste

Smelling the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning, I was shocked by how there was virtually no scent. Unlike most spices, seasonings, or other Kernel Season’s products, the Kettle Corn has no distinguishable aroma to it. That made its flavor all the more surprising.

On the tongue, Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is initially tangy, but then entirely sugary, like there has to be a dry precursor to the explosion of sweetness that follows. The flavor of the seasoning itself is buttery and then thoroughly sweet.

On popcorn, the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is entirely sweet and sugary. The Kettle Corn hardly makes an assertion of being flavored; it tastes pretty much like butter and confectioner’s sugar. In fact, on hot popcorn, this seasoning turns from its native crystalline form (as opposed to most Kernel Season’s spices, which are powders) into something of a glaze! It leaves nothing but delightful sweetness in the mouth.

Nutrition

I was actually shocked by how Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is actually not that bad on the nutrition front. In a 1/4 teaspoon serving (there are over 100 servings in the 3 oz container), there are only five calories. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this was a sodium-free seasoning as well! There are no other nutrients in the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning.

On the ingredients front, Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning is surprisingly not terrible either! The Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning consists mostly of sugar, salt, and natural flavoring. There is actually nothing unpronounceable in this spice and in addition to being Kosher, it may well satisfy the dietary requirements of vegans!

Storage/Clean-up

I could find no expiration date on my container of Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning, but given that the final ingredients appear to be preservatives, it seems reasonable that – stored at room temperature – this will last indefinitely.

If the Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning gets on clothing, it shouldn’t stain. Even so, consult a fabric care guide for how best to get this out of any outfit you get this on. It easily wipes off any nonporous surface it gets on.

Overview

For a sweet treat, it is hard to do better (at least for popcorn) than Kernel Season’s Kettle Corn Popcorn Seasoning!
