Myah’s Favorite Purina Treat Are Beneful Baked Delights Quacks!

The Good: Healthy, Decent dental benefit for dogs, Good ingredients, Smells great, Myah loves them! Affordable.
The Bad: Could always be less expensive!
The Basics: Myah loves the Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights enough to dub them a perfect dog snack!

When my wife and I were out a few weeks ago, she could not resist picking Myah up a box of Beneful Baked Delights Quacks on clearance. They were half off, ostensibly because they expired at the end of November of this year, and Myah’s reaction to them has been clear: she loves them. In fact, near stale or not (they have “all human” ingredients, so my wife and I tried one and they basically taste like stale Goldfish crackers), these became an exceptional training treat for our Siberian Husky.

Basics

My wife picked up the 9 oz. box of Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights on clearance for $2.50, which is a perfect price. $2.50 for a month’s worth of dog treats that our dog actually loves is worthwhile. Given that Myah will eagerly devour leftovers and a wide array of human food as well as the most basic, inexpensive dog food for big dogs, it is easy to make this treat last and use it well for training and reinforcement purposes. What makes it worthwhile over so many other snacks or foods is how Myah continues to be enamored with them. Myah sat pretty, did high fives, and army crawls for it and did other basic tricks that she has resisted doing in order to get the Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights dog treats, this makes the Quacks a wonderful training tool!

The Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights dog treats are little yellow dog snacks that look like little ducks! When the box is opened initially, the Quacks smell slightly of cheddar cheese. Each snack is approximately 1 1/2" long by 1” tall and 1/4" thick. The surface of the Quack dog cracker has indentations for the eye and wing of the duck. As well, it is hard enough that it helps brush the dog's tongue as they chew it.

Ease Of Preparation

This is a ready-to-eat dog treat and only requires one to open the box and inner-wrap bag to dispense.

Myah’s Reaction

The crispy Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights helps physically remove plaque and other build-up from dog’s teeth. Myah’s breath improved noticeably when we gave her the Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights treats for a week. Knowing there is a clear dental benefit for these treats helped me rate them higher; these treats help minimize the need to brush your dog’s teeth and can save money at the vet’s.

And Myah loves these. This is one of the treats she illustrated a strong preference for when given a choice between this and other treats (including other Purina treats!). Because they are small and delicious, they make a great training treat for medium sized dogs.

Nutrition

The Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights dog treats are very healthy. With at least 7% crude protein, 8% crude fat and no more than 2% crude fiber and 9% moisture, the Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights offer some decent nutrition to dogs. Made primarily of enriched wheat flour, vegetable oil and dried cheddar cheese powder, Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights appear to have nothing bad in them. In fact, because of the lack of extensive preservatives, these treats only have about a year shelf life (our box would have expired in November 2012, had Myah not eaten them right up!). As with all dog treats, it is highly recommended that when you give your dog Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights, you make sure they have a decent supply of clean water available. Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights treats are not intended to replace dog food.

Overall

Purina Beneful Quacks Baked Delights come highly endorsed by Myah and leave me with nothing significant to complain about as well!
