Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set Is Good, But Has Some Issues.

The Good: Inexpensive, Easy to clean
The Bad: Does not drain all that easily, Poor balance
The Basics: The Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set inexpensively, mostly, drains water from cleaned dishes in a way that is not as consistent as one might like.


In assembling a new kitchen, I have eagerly been getting all sorts of new products. Today, I’m looking at the new Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set that I have been using for the last few weeks. It’s good, but the Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set came to me largely because it was inexpensive.

The Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set is a thin plastic drain set that is 13” wide, 18 ½” long and 5 ½” tall. It is a two piece set that allows one to put about seven big pots and pans in after washing to let the water drain out. The water drains through the slots in the bottom into a pan that drains out the left side into the sink. It is an exceptionally basic piece of kitchen equipment.

The only real drawback of the Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set has a pan that is easily warped and often fails to drain completely. The pan is not designed to actually drain in the direction of the lip that allows water out of the pan.

The Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set is, however, easily cleaned. The area I live in has hard water and because the bottom pan does not fully drain, it can get kind of scummy looking (especially as it is white). The Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set may easily be detached (the basket from the bottom pan) and stuck in the dishwasher where it comes out perfectly clean.

For my money, even when something is inexpensive, I want it to work well. The Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set only gets out water when it is truly excessive. For those who actually let some of the water drip out before sticking the dish in the Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set, the Sterlite 0627 White Large Sink Set does not actually do enough to get the water out.
